The God who heals

This week I saw the intense clinging to life in spite of terrible physical suffering.

I saw the effects of the disease and it made me feel sad and powerless, as if I had to accept it and expect things to just get worse.

But then I was reminded of Jesus and how He behaved Himself around the sick. God calls Himself "the LORD who heals" in Exodus 15:26 NKJV.

Sure, physical healing does not happen in every case, but I think that it is so important to believe that He is "the LORD who heals", and believe that to the very end.

We cannot let disease overwhelm us, but we must let God empower us with strong minds and unwavering faith in who He is.
