Blossoming Rose

 So … what is the purpose of art? Why do artists spend their time, energy, and means to create artworks?

In my devotional time in 2022 I read about how our work and talents should not only benefit ourselves, but others too. At that point I felt that my art was not really doing that in as meaningful a way as I would have liked it to.

Since then I’ve participated in:

Healing Photo Art

and

the #givewithart campaign 

With this photograph, in February 2022 I became a contributing photographer to The Foundation for Photo/Art in Hospitals.

This image reminds me of the words in Isaiah 61:11 NKJV. 

I appreciate the wonderful opportunity to, through my art, be a part of the team of people who each do their part to restore health, to comfort, and to be there for those in healthcare facilities.

Through the Foundation, this photograph has already found two homes - in a maternity facility in Minnesota and a youth and family center in Colorado, and it is still available to other physical and mental healthcare facilities worldwide.
